Toner Cartridges have a significant environmental footprint:
- Over 375 million cartridges end up in landfills each year (total weight of these cartridges is equivalent to 112,463 Volkswagen Beetles).
- Plastic takes 1,100+ years to decompose.
- Our Landfills are at capacity and disposal fees are continuing to increase.
- Chemicals from the cartridges are polluting soil and water supplies.
- A large toner cartridge requires nearly 4 quarts of oil in its production.
- Ink Jet and Toner cartridge remanufacturing saves over 38,000 tons of plastic and metal from landfills.
- Remanufactured cartridges or recycled cartridges are just as good as new cartridges. When you buy recycled cartridges at a lower price you are not sacrificing quality, you are saving your money because money was saved by the companies remanufacturing cartridges.
With our human health and the environment
at risk, there is no good reason to throw cartridges in the trash.
Recycling options abound, including free mail-in programs that pay your

for more info). With increased awareness comes increased communication
and team-work. The culmination of our efforts brings about a new
relationship between community and the environment. Let's work
together to keep ink and toner cartridges out of landfills and conserve our toner cartridge and inkjet cartridge usage. There are currently research studies being conducted using various research chemicals to potentially speed up the breakdown of plastics. Folks let's face it, we are running out of oil which means we are running out of plastic. Yes it takes oil to make plastic.
